Pastor Steve has been actively leading and involved in Children’s Ministry for over 16 years.  He and his wife Crystal lead a talented and anointed team of people who have a heart that truly beats for children and their families.  Steve and Crystal have a 2 year old son named Braydon and a newborn son named Rylan.

Steve came to Minot in 1988 with the U.S. Air Force from Illinois and had a dream of a career in law enforcement.  During his time as a police officer in the military God called him and opened the door to begin leading and working with Children’s Ministry.   Over the past 16 years he has led  Sunday morning church services tailored specifically to children as well as directed Vacation Bible Schools, held numerous Kids Crusades, and spoken at summer Bible camps.   He also speaks at local schools and most importantly loves children.

“I truly believe that children are very important to the heart of God and that he wants the church to be intentional in making sure that reaching His kids is a top priority.  Here at First Assembly we absolutely love children and families of all types.  We want to be a church where anyone can come and feel loved and welcome.  After all, we are all God’s kids!  We desire to come alongside of parents and link arms in the spiritual upbringing of children.  I believe that a Christian heritage is by far the most important thing you can give a child.  We want to see kids know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and their best friend.  Today’s kids need to know that He loves them and that He is always there to call upon and will never let them down.”

Come and check out all that we have for families here and meet Pastor Steve and Crystal and the rest of our team!

"Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds: tie them as symbols on our hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up"

                                                             Deuteronomy 11:19
